Mexican police get a barking mad surprise
Mexico’s federal attorney general’s office said Wednesday that federal police had seized more than 130 wild animals they discovered in the luggage compartment of a bus headed to Mexico City from Catemaco, a region of eastern famed for its diverse wildlife.
The animals included turtles and lizards, snakes and tarantulas, parrots and even an eagle who took the opportunity to ride along with the apparently unwitting passengers.
Officials said they were trying to determine what to do with the animals.
