A story at stuff.co.nz talks about “rest home residents shown being toileted and showered in photographs published in a nursing journal [who] may not have understood what they were agreeing to”.
A man named Alan Knowles made a photo essay with a series of photos of elderly people being taken care of. From the man’s poing of view he is making a deeply powerful and touching piece of work that could influence many and gain sympathy for the elderly and those who are taking care of them.
From the other side, people had naked pictures taken and publicized.
Yeah, I think I know which side I feel sorry for.
