Most Americans think their pets will go to heaven

dogAccording to a recent study by The Daily Times, 43 percent of Americans believe that their pets will go to heaven.

After that question people who answered yes were then asked if a pet could go to heaven even if the owner didn’t and 93 percent said yes.

The telephone survey carried out by the Washington Post asked, “Do you think pets like cats and dogs can go to heaven when they die or do only people go to heaven?” Forty-three percent answered in the affirmative, while 28 percent replied in the negative. Twenty-two percent were not sure, while seven percent said they did not believe there is any such thing as heaven. The second question asked was, “Do you think people’s pets can go to heaven even if their owners do not?” This question was asked of those who do believe there is a heaven. A whopping 93 percent said yes, with only two percent dissenting. Five percent of those polled replied that they did not know.

All I can say is I hope not. I cannot stand domesticated animals, and I think it’d be closer to hell than heaven to have every dog ever alive around me for eternity.

    Wow,
Your entitled to your opinion but I hope so. I mean, the pets will be likely to hang with their owners than around you so what are you worried about? Besides, you think that now but when you die and go to heaven you ARE going to have different views.
