Robot Driven Rickshaw

Wu-Yulu-and-his-robot-driven-rickshawThis is a really REALLY cute idea, but it lacks some simple logic.  Wu Yulu spent a year making this robot to pull his Rickshaw.  Time he could have been spending working.  In that time he could have made enough money to buy…I dunno…a car?  The cool thing about Rickshaws is that they’re driven by people, not machines.  How is Wu Yulu’s creation any different than a slow moving car?  I really doubt the robot knows where it’s going.  Turning is probably also really difficult.

I give it an A for creativity but a D for practicality.  (Check out the robot’s high heels!)

Wu Yulu rides in a rickshaw pulled by a homemade robot in Beijing, China. Wu said it took him one year and $1,000 to build the electricity-powered robot, which reportedly can operate for six hours and walk about five miles. Via CNN

Your blog is a really REALLY cute idea, but it lacks some simple logic.

Writing on this blog it’s a huge waste of time.

Time you could have been spending working.

In that time you could have made enough money to buy…I dunno…a life?
