It’s almost New Year’s Eve and that means it’s time to start declaring those New Year’s Resolutions.  How will you change in the next year?  Will you resolve to lose weight, to exercise more, to spend more time with your family, or give up smoking?

Happy New Year to everyone around the world… except in Brussels, Belgium.  In this European capital city, their annual New Year’s Eve fireworks have been cancelled due to a significant terror threat. 
Other regular new years’ fixtures and events are also being cancelled or curtailed including the annual all-night Christmas market, to be closed at 6 pm and the adjacent ice skating rink, to be closed at 8 pm. This is not to say that the police are even sure that these are specific targets of interest.

The LAPD has gotten rat-wise and decided to allow feral cats to roam several police stations to hunt down mice.  This almost almost reminds me of that old Hanna Barbara show Top Cat… except here the cops are working with the street urchins.

Ever thought about how you would like to go?  I’m not sure this guy was really planning to die, but he certainly went out both peacefully and sensually. 
What’s that you say?  One unlucky strip club goer passed on while in the back room of a strip club two nights ago after having far too much to drink and perhaps one too many private dances.  I just have one question: if a patron dies during a lapdance, does the stripper get paid?

It looks like zoo security was more than a bit lacking on Christmas at the San Francisco Zoo when a tiger escaped from her cage.  Before being gunned down by police, she killed one zoo visitor and mauled two others.

The anti-social networking revolution has begun! Thanks to our friend Jason over at MWDaily, we’ve come across a fantastic Facebook mini-app that allows you to finally tell your enemies as well as your friends what you really think about them: Enemybook.
