How can anyone believe that they would survive in the wheel of an airplane during flight?

The body of a male stowaway was found Sunday in the wheel well of a British Airways jet at Los Angeles International Airport, officials said.
A pilot discovered the body of the young man in the front right wheel well of the 747-400 during a routine inspection shortly before it was to return to London, airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.
The FBI determined the stowaway likely died in the wheel well, Castles said. Autopsy results won’t be available until later this week. Authorities had not identified the …read more

Apparently we were wrong when we thought we had won the battle over Urban Outfitters selling  Keffiyahs!  They apologized for the American market "anti-war knitted scarf" but then started marketing these in European stores:

This one is being sold as a "Skull Desert Scarf"

And this one as a "Shemagh Scarf".  What does Shemagh mean?  I checked on Wikipedia and it apparently is just another word for Keffiyah in Arabic.  So I guess at least they’re not trying to pass it off as anti-war this time and are selling it for what it is.

Police in Lindenhurst, New York, say that a trio of thieves who stole 14 global positioning systems got away with their crime, but only for a short time. The devices led cops directly to the suspects’ homes.
According to town officials, the thieving threesome didn’t even know what they had; they thought that the devices were cell phones, which they were planning to sell.

This is so sad…It seems this couple must still have some feelings for each other if they refuse to move out of their home.  If what the wife is suggesting about abuse is true, if I were in her shoes I’d want to get as far away from him as possible.  Sounds fishy to me:
