Well, I guess that means no more mullets in Iran… or bowl cuts, or crew cuts, or… well, what’s a western haircut anyway? Bottom line, unibrows are the order of the day.

Iranian police have warned barbers against offering Western-style hair cuts or plucking the eyebrows of their male customers, Iranian media said Sunday.
The report by a reformist daily, later confirmed by an Iranian news agency, appeared to be another sign of authorities cracking down on clothing and other fashion deemed to be against Islamic values.
"Western hairstyles … have been banned," the newspaper  said in a front-page headline.

Does anyone else find it kind of ironic that a creationist has built a "Noah’s Ark" partly in anticipation of global warming?

A burqa clad woman walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Where’s your face?"  Not funny? Certainly not in Pakistan which has just banned satire targeting traditional Islamic women’s attire. So much for free speech.  I guess they never really had that in Pakistan anyway.

Rapper Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering Australia after failing a character test, according to officials.
The star – real name Calvin Broadus – was due to co-host the MTV Australian Video Music Awards on Sunday.
The 35-year-old had his visa cancelled after recently pleading no contest to gun and drug charges in the US.
"He doesn’t seem the sort of bloke we want in this country," Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews told Sydney’s Macquarie Radio.

A LARGE English cheddar cheese has become a star of the internet, attracting more than one million viewers to sit and stare at it as it slowly ripens.
First placed in front of a webcam in late December, the Westcombe cheddar from West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers leaped to public attention in early February and has since attracted viewers from 119 countries.
“The hits went over one million this morning," a spokesman for the company running the website, www.cheddarvision.tv, said.

An early-morning German bank customer had a bit of a shock when he found a horse already in line at the automatic teller machine in front of him. It seems the horse’s owner, identified only as Wolfgang H., had a bit too much to drink the night before and decided to sleep it off inside the bank’s heated foyer, police said Tuesday.
