Greedy corporations and their executives whose only concern is profit at the expense of the consumer is the normal in this day. These mega companies are arrogant in the knowledge that the US government will do nothing to stop them and the American people can do nothing. Greed by the wealthy is the new American way of life.

If a huge trade imbalance and resultant indebetdness of our country to Japan and china were not enough, not we are being poisoned along with our pets in the name of greed. Cheaper ingredients more profit only a (few) deaths. Most favorable nation status is much too easily obtained. Is our government asleep or just guilty of greed and being bought by foreign and corporate interests? Whats the average run for a civilization? The clock is ticking…

Well I hope these incidents prove to people that the FDA doesn’t look out for our best interests. The same is true with drugs as well. Have you noticed all the recalls and lawsuits related to dangerous drugs that were released to the public without proper testing that would have shown they are unsafe for use? Well, this food is no surprise to me. I am surprised that it hasn’t happened sooner than this. The bottom line is this. Companies are importing more food now than they have ever done and it’s only because of how cheap they can get it. More profits for them if they can score a large shipment for chicken feed. So, in turn our health is being put at risk, and with certain items like this toothpaste, even our lives. So in the end, I hope people realize how important it is to buy US made products. Tell food companies that you want the FOOD and INGREDIENTS (important!) to be from the US. Ingredients…yes…if they bake he cookies here they will label it as made in the USA, but it doesn’t mean they didn’t import half, if not all of the ingredients they used to make them with. They didn’t lie, the product was produced here, but they just didn’t tell you that they produced it with ingredients from places like China. So be sure to let then know that you demand that they provide safe foods and avoid places like China that have poor to no food safety regulations.
