Poisonous Thomas the Tank Engine

First tained pet food, then toothpaste, now poisonous Thomas the Tank Engine toys… What happened to our reliable trade partner?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls 1.5 million Thomas and Friends products — as in Thomas the Tank Engine — because a Chinese factory used lead paint. A consumer watchdog says 20 percent of China’s toys and baby clothes are substandard.

I’m so sick of the majority of our goods coming from China. They are already so cheap and looking out for the almighty dollar that they don’t require their citizens to be paid a decent wage. They have poor quality goods and they can’t do away with lead based paints!!!! Why? And why do we keep trading with them? At least we could try to support our country in some way and buy American goods!!!

    The Ebay sellers “optical_vision”
are robbing innocent buyers to the tune of thousands of pounds by selling cheap Chinese Microscopes and making out that they are manufactured by gxoptical in the UK.
Nearly all the microscopes that are sold by them with just a model number and no name can be found at this site, Made in China http://tinyurl.com/2xzpx2 Ebay have done nothing to stop them, even though they have been informed of the ripoff.
