Spam Showcase: Do Not Spam List

As most of us here in the United States know, a few years back Congress passed a law allowing residents to put themselves on a national "do not call" registry. So the argument goes, if you are bothered by telemarketers after putting your name on the list, you can sue them for the offense and time wasted.
It looks like comment spammers are picking up this trend and trying to scam us into thinking it works like this in the blogging world too. Check out this recent comment:
from alexsbh: If you want do delete your site from our spam bases - just email us with domain of your site: abuse-here@domain.*
Of course, the email address is changed, but you get the idea. I pity anyone dumb enough to email these guys giving them not only your site address, but your email addie. Ugh.

I have received 98 of these emails since October 2nd. It’s on the 3rd. And the creep has been using my e-mail and posting his crap on peoples guestbooks. One of the e-mails I received “Thanks for signing our guestbook… blah blah…” Then showed me the spam message and my e-mail address as the sender, but ALSO THE IP address of the REMOTE_CLIENT!!!
The IP was:
219.93.178.162
