Man Dies Falling From Escalator
There are some things that you should never do because they are well, just really dangerous. Add a spot of drunken debauchery to the mix, and you get a candidate for the Darwin Awards.
This is the story of one man who thought it would be really cool if he could show his friends that he could slide down the banister of an escalator… while drunk. Instead, he lost his balance and plunged several stories to the ground. The hospital reports that he died from a head injury. I can only hope for his sake that he died on impact.
This idiotic stunt took place Saturday night at the Hollywood & Highland Center mall which holds the Kodak Theater where the Academy Awards are filmed. Speaking of awards shows, no Golden Globes tonight… At least it will be better than Queen Latifah’s solo "performance" at the People’s Choice Awards.
