Bad Combo: Gasoline and Cigarettes
Have you ever pulled up to a gas station only to find some moron smoking a cigarette while filling up his tank? I know I have. It’s idiots like these who put normal people like you and me in danger every day and, incidentally, make blogs like this one possible.
The idiot featured in this story found a way to bring the "everyday" dangers of mixing highly flammable liquids with burning objects home with him. At least he didn’t endanger anyone but himself.
A man from Gross Godems, Germany lit himself and his apartment on fire yesterday when going on a bender. Confusing a bottle of gasoline for one of alcohol, he took a nice big swig. Immediately realizing his mistake, he spat out the petrol right onto a lit cigarette. The results were obvious. The 56-year-old fool is now recovering in a local hospital and being treated for severe burns.
Now aside from the obvious issues of spitting gasoline on cigarettes, who keeps a jug of gasoline in their home which is easily confused with a bottle of alcohol??? I say this guy deserved everything he got. I hope no one else was injured in the ensuing fire.
