Mike Huckabee Goes on Colbert Report

Colbert '08 In an effort to boost his popularity after relatively poor showings in the Wyoming and New Hampshire Republican primaries, Iowa primary victor Mike Huckabee made an appearance Wednesday on the Colbert Report.

Although Stephen Colbert’s own run for the White House was stymied earlier this year by humorless party members on both sides and a lack of funds, he reminded Huckabee of an offer he made at an earlier guest appearance to be his running mate. Although he offered the Republican potential presidential contender a chance to withdraw his offer, Huckabee reiterated saying, “Stephen, please be my running mate.” Colbert’s response? “Yes, a thousand times yes.”

Does this mean that a place in the White House as a president’s lap dog could be in the cards for the satirical news anchor? I doubt it. Still, his jabs and hints during the show were hilarious.

Colbert’s on the liberal side of politics so of course he’ll endorse Huckabee. He doesn’t stand a chance in hell against Barack or Hillary. Plus, he’s legally retarded!
