Simply Dumb

Well here’s an odd piece of news you don’t see every day.  For those of you who don’t know, the United States Constitution requires that the president of the country must be a “natural born citizen.” 
This may cause some concern for Republican front-runner John McCain.  Born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936, some wonder if his run is even constitutional.  Although the zone was under direct American control at the time and his father was an officer in the Navy, the fact remains that he was not born in what is generally considered the United States.

Kids sure are getting rebellious early these days.  At least that’s what Principal Linda Geyer of Parma Community School in Ohio seemed to believe when she suspended one of her kindergarten students for coming to school with an “unacceptable haircut.”
6-year-old Bryan Ruda has a mowhawk and according to administrators, that violates the school’s dress code which demands that students are “properly groomed”.  His mother, Michelle Barile, is quite defensive of her son claiming that nothing in the Parma Community School handbook led her to believe that the haircut would be inappropriate.

Coffee nut alert, this afternoon Starbucks will be shutting its doors a few hours early nationwide for employee training.  From 5:30 pm local time, all 7100 stores will lock their doors and focus on training their 135,000 employees.
But don’t worry, Dunkin’ Donuts is picking up the slack.  It announced that it will be offering small 99 cent lattes, cappuccinos and espressos “to ensure that no coffee lover is denied a delicious espresso-based beverage”.  That deal will last from 1 pm to 10 pm local time.  Way to engage in opportunistic marketing!

Republican presidential contender Governor Mike Huckabee made an appearance on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update last night to show America that he may be down but he is not out. 
…This even after co-host Seth Meyers pointed out that winning would be a mathematical impossibility at this point.  Fortunately for him, Mr. Huckabee is more of a “miracle guy” than a math guy. 
Even if much of his platform scares the hell out of me (no pun intended Mr. Minister), Governor Huckabee has a very bright future as a standup comic and faux news host.

Sometimes divorce can be a messy business.  Often there’s piles of property and other possession to divide up, friends to split up, and child custody battles.  And then there’s the occasional attempt by one of the exes to murder the other with a soda can full of wasps.
Yeah, that’s right.  Angela Nellany of Riverbank, California has plead no contest to the charge that she tried to kill her ex-husband Paul Nellany with a pop can full of wasps and then have a hit man finish the job.  Mr. Nellany is deathly allergic to bee stings.

What would you do if you opened up your bank account one day and found you had a balance of almost 6 million dollars? 
One Brooklyn salesman clearly made the wrong decision when he spent about $2 Mil of the 5.8 in an account he somehow accessed which belonged to someone who shares his name.  He has been arrested on charges of grand larceny.  The man claims he “didn’t intend to steal from anyone” and still believes he is entitled to the money.
The judge has apparently taken pity on the idiot by lowering his bail from $1 million to $10,000 …read more

One of my more favorite artists these days is John Cox.  He’s also a painter, illustrator, and former political cartoonist with Allen Forkum.  Unfortunately, they’ve retired from the political cartoon racket but John has kept up his work on his own site.

No, this isn’t a crack about research scientists all being forty-year-old virgins. 
According to a group of Italian scientists, they have been able to isolate an area of thicker tissue within the vagina that they believe is the specific location of the infamous and elusive g-spot using ultrasound.
Unfortunately there’s a catch: not all women’s g-spots will be in exactly the same place nor will all women necessarily have one.  Maybe the vaginal orgasm isn’t for everyone.  Oh well…

Yes, my arm is still broken and I’m using what little time I am able to type out of my sling to finish a paper that is now two days late.  Sorry readers, I know you’re getting the short shrift.
