Hitler Does Disney
Before finding his calling as a genocidal imperialist dictator, Adolf Hitler was first and foremost a failed artist.
You may have known that, but did you know that he was also a huge fan of Disney movies? He even owned a film reel of Snow White for his private collection and thought it was “one of the best movies ever made.”
That said, William Hakvaag, the director of a war museum in northern Norway, made an interesting discover while examining a piece he had purchased at an art auction in Germany signed A. Hitler. Behind the frame he found two color sketches of the dwarves Bashful and Doc signed A.H. and an unsigned one of Pinocchio.
He claims the signature matches Hitler’s handwriting and performed tests which confirm that the pieces were dates from the 1940s. I guess even the most sick and twisted of human beings have a soft side?
