I'm from the Midwest and I had always lived close to a White Castle until I came to the South. I knew of folks who would stop by the "WC lounge" after a night of partying, which makes sense given the fat content of those little sandwiches. Incredibly, I do know some people back home who love those little burgers. Alexandra is right that White Castle is an obsession for some. Nice story!
