Man Loses Pet Snakes - And His Fingers
A Kentucky man had to have some fingers amputated due to snakebites he received from snakes he wasn’t supposed to have to begin with. Kentucky’s Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources seized seven rattlesnakes, a gaboon viper, a king cobra, an iguana, two monitor lizards, two alligators, a boa constrictor and a python from his residence.
Associated Press reported that the 36-year-old Campbellsville man faces 15 counts of transporting wildlife into Kentucky without a transportation permit and 10 counts of possessing inherently dangerous animals.
And of course, he will also face his wife saying "I told you so" for the rest of his days. When will people learn the simple distinction between animals that are easily domesticated and those you shouldn’t even try to?
Wiener dog? Great pet. Pot-bellied big? Good pet. Animal whose teeth are designed to inject deadly poison into your flesh? Worst pet imaginable?
