Tow Truck Takes Car with Sleeping Child Inside
A Dallas tow truck driver hauled away a car with a sleeping child inside. The boy is 7-years-old and his parents panicked when their car was gone. The boy’s mom was seen crying and vomiting when the police arrived.
The truck driver realized his mistake, hurriedly returned and unhooked the car and then skedaddled away from the scene. Apparently he didn’t want to confront the parents. He was pulled over and charged with child endangerment, but police expect to drop the charges, realizing he didn’t do it on purpose.
How about charging the parents with child endangerment for leaving their sleeping child in the car parked in a fire lane? The boy’s father was quoted as saying, “I hate the way towing people run the business.” Really? We kinda hate parents that leave their kids alone in the car. They are fortunate that the child was okay, and that the “kidnapping” was an accident.
