Stupid Sheriff Tricks: Cat Tasering
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is going through quite a rough spot right now. Just last week a grand jury found that deputies watched TV and sent text messages while an inmate was beaten to death. And this week, they’re investigating whether a staff member tasered a cat that was found dead on jail grounds.
This is not only dumb, but weird and creepy. Apparently some of the jail personnel must be really bored on the job. And cruel. And did we mention stupid?
A tip led to Sheriff’s staff looking for the cat, which was found between two fences. It had been dead for several weeks. And they are actually going to perform a necropsy to find out how it died.
Let’s hope that it wasn’t tasered to death or anything else by human hands. Ick.
At least this isn’t another story that originated in the South.
