Bobby Brown Says Whitney Used Him
Already having done a bad reality TV show, former New Edition frontman Bobby Brown is now moving to the next stage of washed-up celebrity life: a tell-all book.
Of course, it’s hard to imagine a celebrity with more skeletons to take out of the closet than Brown. The book is titled Bobby Brown:The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But. Excerpts from the book are now making the rounds and among the revelations, Brown accuses Whitney Houston of introducing him to cocaine.
“I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney,” Brown writes. “Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice.”
Is anybody buying this? Anybody? But wait, there’s more. Brown said Houston married him to fix her image. As a longtime fan who formerly had a severe crush on Whitney, can you point me to one person outside out of Bobby’s family/entourage that thought this marriage was a good idea?
Marrying Bobby Brown to fix your image would be like marrying Rosie O’ Donnell in an effort to eat healthier.
Brown said Houston wanted to get married and pregnant in order to “kill all speculation” about her sexuality. Brown said “he just wanted to be loved.”
Yes Bobby, you were surely a choir boy before that Whitney got a hold on you. I’m not saying Whitney didn’t have some ghetto fabulousness in her because she obviously did. But if this “St. Bobby” stuff is any indication of the truthfulness of this book, well, Whitney’s got some new rolling paper.
