He’s Not a Thief, Just Differently Abled
Palo Alto police are looking for a bank robber who according to eyewitness reports, fled the scene in an electric wheelchair. Is that even technically considered fleeing? The San Jose Mercury News said police reports describe a suspect that appeared to be in his 60s with gray hair and a beard holding up a Wachovia Bank at the Stanford Shopping Center.
Alright, that bank officially has the saddest security system in the history of the world. After robbing the bank, the sexagenarian suspect rolled down a major thoroughfare in his wheelchair and witnesses say he got hoisted into a white Ford van.
If Tommy Lee Jones’ character from The Fugitive were here, I’m sure he would say something to the effect of:
What I want is a hard target search of every rest home, bingo hall, assisted living center and Denny’s Restaurant within a five-mile, or maybe two and a half mile radius!
