We report the funny things. The dumb things. The annoying things.
But we don’t like it when we have to report the sick things. Oh, we could skip over it, pretend it didn’t happen. Yet it did happen and we just have to say something.
Josef Fritzl, you are one sick, sad, messed up dude. It is unconscionable that you will only (at this time) face 15 years in prison. Fifteen, when you stole 24 from your daughter. Over half her life. You locked her in the basement. Made her choose between rape or no food. Fathered seven children (one of which died shortly after birth) by your own daughter.
You hid your child. Locked her away in the dark because you didn’t want her to leave. Who does this? Seriously - who does this type of thing? You, sir - and I use that term loosely - are a monster. If they change the rules just for you, decide to give you a much longer sentence or maybe even the death penalty, we would cheer. Loudly.
And don’t get us started on the mother. Where was she?
We sincerely hope that Elisabeth Fritzl is somehow able to overcome this horrible act, this wretched family, this atrocious treatment. But we’re not sure she can. Could anyone move past something like that?

sorry guys! I wouldnt ever suggest life or even death sentence. He needs something tougher, like, cut off his privte part, hang it over the bed he sleeps on so he can see it 24 hrs. and put him in the same dungeon till he rots. That’s also too lax a punishment for him.

Just to mention it: They won’t do anything to him in prison - this is Austria, not the US. So, he’ll probably get a single cell and will for the rest of his term (his life, hopefully) never see much of the others until those have forgotten what he’s there for. So, I’d take the bit from Nancy, ’cause prison won’t be that tough a time…

You’re right. I wasn’t thinking along those lines. He should be locked in a very small room with no windows and no contact with others.

The small sunless room sounds good but don’t forget to have someone come in and rape him every couple days so he can earn his food.
