Duggars announce that 18th child is on the way
As a woman who has experienced pregnancy - very recently - this story makes me cringe. Michelle Duggar, the woman who has 17 children, is pregnant with her 18th. You may have heard of this Arkansas family due to their prolific offspring. Wow.
Don’t get me wrong - I enjoyed being pregnant. And the results? Totally worth it. But don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not hard work. It is. It’s quite hard on the body. I would do it a couple of times. Maybe even three. But EIGHTEEN?
The AP reports that Duggar has been pregnant for more than 11 years of her life. She’s 41. That woman must really love being pregnant.
I’m still stumbling at the 18th child thing. I guess she’ll get lots of hugs and kisses on Mother’s Day, though, won’t she? Her kids range in age from 20 years old to 9 months old.

Maybe when her uterus falls out she’ll stop having babies! That’s just rediculous!

THIS WOMAN IS DOING GOD’S WORK, IT’S HER LIFE AND HER BODY AND IF SHE AND HER HUSBAND ARE HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEY ARE NOT HURTING YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE WHY DON’T YOU ALL JUST MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS

I think this lady is not mentally well. I think that she is getting the EXTRA ATTENTION that she is seeking by being Pregnant. After all, we did get extra attention and treated pretty kindly but… I think that we all kind of grew out of needing that constant attention. Maybe the mother needs to get some follow up with the psyc and clip somebody’s wires….

I don’t know about 18 babies being God’s work, but I do know that to most of us, that many children is just strange. It’s just something beyond our comprehension. But they are the ones announcing it in the media, so I don’t see a problem with us commenting on it.
It’s amazing that she can bounce back after that many kids. Just one pregnancy was extremely hard on my body. I don’t know how she does it. More power to them, though.

Having that many children is severely hard on a woman’s body. The mothers who do so have extremely shorter lifespans and more prone to illnesses. I find it a bit like a ‘hair-shirt’ sort of thing. Like people who cut themselves deliberately or people who stick their fingers down their throats after eating to stay slim. It’s rather disgusting to me that the woman has this many kids especially since we are already overpopulating which will have violent and harmful consequences soon enough, but if they can afford the expenses themselves, why not? They are fully supporting themselves, aren’t they?
