Anne Heche says she’s broke, needs child support reduction
Anne Heche is paying a lot in child support to her ex - $15,000 a month. For many Americans, that could be close to a year’s salary. But now that Heche is unemployed, that figure is a little too much for her to handle.
Heche’s TV series, Men In Trees, was canceled in January. Since that cancelation, Heche has been looking for work. But a $15K child support bill is tough to handle when you’re out of work.
A judge decided to give Ms. I’m-gay-wait-no-I’m-not a break, but ordered her to submit new info about her income and expenses. Heche claimed that the support, her son’s private school tuition, a home in Canada (where the series was filmed), and rent in LA is just too much to bear.
We wonder if she didn’t do a good job of putting away money when she was working steadily. The business of being a celeb must be so draining on the bank account. However, that large of a child support payment kinda makes us choke a little on our cheap, home-brewed coffee.
So, do you think she’s telling the truth about her current situation? We would certainly hope that she’s doing all she can to help her son.
