DUI: Deja vu all over again
How’s this for returning to the scene of the crime? A Truckee, California woman crashed her car in the exact same spot where she wrecked five months ago after allegedly driving under the influence. Now that’s talent.
But it gets better. The 23-year-old’s blood alcohol content — both times — was over three times greater than the legal limit. Police said that she had trouble standing or walking. And at a BAC of .346, who wouldn’t? The legal limit in California is .08. Y’all, that’s closer to four times the limit. What in the world was this woman doing even getting in a car?
Back in January, when she crashed at the same spot north of Lake Tahoe, her BAC was .380. Wow. This girl may need some serious help. Really, that’s a lot of alcohol.
She faces up to 10 years in jail and fines over $2,000 is convicted on this second offense.
I don’t even know what to say. How does one crash in the same spot with almost the same BAC? Girl, that’s not the type of deja vu you want to strive for.
