Grand Theft Auto Launch Has Muggings
Oh, the irony at work here. The midnight launch of much anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto IV on Tuesday was marred by violence. The BBC reported two separate incidents in the minutes after the game released.
A 23-year-old got stabbed outside a Gamestation in Croydon and an 18-year-old was the victim of a mugging at another game store. In that incident, the young man got robbed of his game and beaten so severely he sustained a broken jaw and broken nose.
You know what else is sad? Some British politician has probably already worked this into an anti-video game campaign. Way to go, dregs of humanity. You’re reinforcing every negative stereotype about the gamers that play the GTA games.

we had a high speed chase out here when some teen tried stealing one of those games and once caught tried doing some scenes from the game. in the end he was tossed in the patrol car and sent to jail.
Sad, sad, sad. I shudder to think we he’d have done if he had been playing Star Wars.
