He’s a Witch…Wizard! You Get The Drift
We see all kinds of dumb news around here but this piece is so exceptionally stupid, well, you be the judge.
News Station Tampa Bay 10 reports that Florida substitute teacher Jim Piculas was fired after being accused of wizardry. You heard me, wizardry. No, this news is not time-warped in from Salem in 1692. A school administration in 2008 actually fired someone for wizardry. It gets better.
The piece of sorcery that got this guy canned? He made a toothpick disappear and reappear. Harry Potter, look out. The school district reported other problems like not following lesson plans and letting students play on unapproved computers. God forbid a teacher do anything that might, I don’t know, get kids actually interested in the learning process.
Yet teachers who delivers lectures in a Ben Stein-style “Anyone, Anyone” monotone and has taught the same lesson the same way for 30 years always manages to keep their job.

Wizardry? Seriously? This is crazy. Once again, only in the south.
Don’t they have enough to go after teachers ,than going after them for doing magic. That is all I see that this teacher has done, he has done nothing than most of us parents have donein our lives at one point or another. I helped my son with a science project years ago that made the tooth picks MOVE, is this Wizardry???
