Next time, you’d better go for an automatic
We know we’ve been a little car-centric recently, but we just can’t help ourselves. Some celebrity will do something dumb and then we’ll be able to balance things out a little bit.
In the mean time, we wanted to share another dumb criminal story. Yes, it involves a car.
A West Palm Beach man, after being released from the Palm Beach County Jail, was arrested after an unsuccessful carjacking. Frank Singleton had been arrested for misdemeanor trespassing and was released on his own recognizance. He should have stopped there. Instead, he ran out into the jail parking lot and wrested a woman’s keys from her hand.
He couldn’t start the car. Singleton didn’t know how to drive a stick shift and therefore didn’t know to push in the clutch before turning the key. And while all of this was happening, a preacher walked by, saw the squabble and pulled a gun on Singleton. The pastor – who mentors the jail inmates – held him until deputies could arrive to take him away.
Singleton was quoted as saying he “didn’t feel like walking.”

Too dumb to be among normal people, folks. Just too dumb.
