There’s no place like home for a parrot

Gray-Parrot-Eating-Cookie NcIf you don’t want your pet to get lost, just teach him how to speak. And then teach him your address so someone can bring him back home.

A parrot, whose family lives near Tokyo, got lost when he flew out of his cage. He was found on the roof of a neighbor’s house, but police didn’t know where he belonged. While they searched for clues, they took Yosuke the parrot to a veterinary hospital.

After spending some time with the vet, the parrot decided to start talking. He told the vet his name and full address. His family had been teaching him the address for about two years.

But apparently they forgot to teach him that it’s okay to talk to the police. He didn’t start talking until he’d been with the vet a few days. Oh well, I guess they can work on it for the next two years. What a great idea, though, teaching a parrot to tell where it lives. I wonder what his next trick will be?
