Lakers Turn In Historic Choke Job
They don’t repossess MVP trophies, do they? Kobe Bryant wanted to make his mark in the NBA Finals and the Lakers did that, blowing the biggest lead in the championship series’ history.
Even Kobe told reporters the team “wet the bed.” For those following along at home, the team led by as many as 24 points on their homecourt before turning in epic failure. Can we please put the Kobe Bryant-Michael Jordan comparisons to rest now? When Jordan had the opposing team on the ropes, he went through them like Lindsay Lohan through a cash bar.
I wonder what Shaq was thinking as the Lakers looked like a high school team (and one with a bad defense at that) on the biggest stage in the game. That fourth quarter performance was more painful to watch than - one of Shaq’s rap concerts.
