Allegedly the singer, whose real name is George O’ Dowd, is accused of keeping a male escort captive by chaining him to a wall. Or as we call that in the states – the Rick James maneuver. No word on whether George will use the “Cocaine’s a Hell of A Drug” defense.

The singer’s management said he “clearly doesn’t present any form of risk,” and should be allowed into the country. I don’t know, I’m leery of guys who chain people to walls. I used to have the cops beat at a major metro newspaper and I know some sick individuals who have never been accused of chaining anyone to a wall. I’d hold off the tour until those charges are dealt with. The 10 remaining members of the Culture Club Fan Club will wait, I’m sure.
