P-Diddy Vs. Puff Daddy
P-Diddy, Puff.. Sean Combs is denying widespread rumors that he has changed his rap moniker back to Puff Daddy from P-Diddy. I blame Prince and his infamous name change to an unpronounceable symbol for this crazishness.
No one will ever top the best name change in rap history, the late great Ol Dirty Bastard changing his name to Big Baby Jesus. ODB, or BBJ died before he could really cash in on that success. I promise you there was going to be a Passion of Big Baby Jesus CD had he lived.
There may still be. After all, Biggie Smalls and 2-Pac are still putting CDs out. But back to Diddy-Daddy. Why can’t I get the image of Ben Stiller from that video where he meets Puffy out of my head?
“P- Diddy, father Puff, Mr. Daddy!” There are few pieces of entertainment that can’t be improved with a little Ben Stiller – The Heartbreak Kid notwithstanding.
