Drunk Swede tries to row home
Oh how we love the drunken antics here at Simply Dumb. It gives us such crazy things to report. Like this one.
A 78-year-old Swedish man got drunk during a night out in Denmark. And he apparently drank away his money, as he didn’t have the ferry fare to get back home. So he decided to row the 3 miles home.
Only there’s a slight problem with that - he didn’t have a boat. So he stole a dinghy and started rowing. The rowing didn’t last long, as he got tired and decided to take a nap. In the bottom of the boat. Where he still was when Danish police found him.
The strait he was in is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. Guess he’s lucky he didn’t get trampled by a nice, big boat full of shipping containers.
Could we please add this to the list of what NOT to do when you’ve been out drinking? Any more stories like this and we’re going to have to add a “dumb drunks” category.
