DMX Really Doesn’t Know His Name

Seems like I just wrote about DMX getting arrested – oh wait, I did. Associated Press reports the rapper got arrested yet again, this time for stealing someone’s identity. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, went to Scottsdale’s Mayo Clinic in April using the name Troy Jones and failed to pay a $7,500 bill. “X” also gave them a false Social Security number.
OK, a platinum-selling rapper having to skip out on a $7,500 hospital bill doesn’t bode well for his financial well being. Add that to charges of animal cruelty for mistreating pit bulls and attempting to buy coke from an undercover officer and even by rap standards Earl’s having a hell of a year.
A clearly frustrated Arpaio said he has no idea why judges keep letting this guy out. The sheriff said if the system actually keeps the rapper in jail for a few minutes this time, he’ll be separated from the rest of the population. Good call.
