Exposed bride sues designer
Picture your wedding day. Music, flowers, friends, family, and the one you love standing beside you. Ah, true love. The funny thing about weddings is the tradition of the bride and groom standing with their backs to the audience. No one gets to see their faces, or their expressions, as they say their vows.
One Italian woman is wishing she’d bucked that tradition and faced the congregation, after the back of her dress fell out. Her almost $4,000 wedding dress fell apart while she was at the altar, exposing her posterior to everyone.
She was mortified and claims it ruined her wedding. So she’s suing the dress designer for moral and financial damages – to the tune of $40,000. She and her husband have separated. We wonder if she never got over the embarrassment, and let it ruin the relationship? One would hope not.
Every bride wants a day to remember, but maybe not quite like that.
