Jessica Simpson Fails At Going Country
Since she can’t give away one of her pop CD’s, Jessica Simpson figured she would try her hand at country music. So far the results are almost as good as her acting.
Wearing a costume not that much different from the one she played Daisy Duke in, Simpson played to boos at Wisconsin’s Country Thunder Festival. The Kenosha News reports that most fans who saw Simpson open for Sara Evans were very unimpressed.
Realizing she was losing the crowd, Simpson tried to establish her country cred by explaining she was just like the folks in the audience. She said she’s just a girl from Texas who’s dating a boy. Unless the boy you’re dating happens to be an NFL quarterback, you’re not just like Jessica. There are at best 32 girls (and probably a couple of guys) who could claim to be dating a boy just like the one Jessica has.
