The Family That Spits Together
Brian “Young Gun” Krause has claimed his seventh International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship. His toughest competition was none other than his father, Rick “Pellet Gun” Krause. Brian Krause’s winning spit on Saturday was 56 feet, 7 1/2 inches. He beat his father by nearly seven inches.
That proves what I’ve always said, you can’t beat genetics when it comes to producing great athletes. I am sure Mrs. Krause is incredibly proud. The years they must have spent practicing, honing their craft. I would also love to know who the sponsors are for the International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship. And if the Super Bowl Champs go to Disney World, where does the Cherry Pit Spitting Champion go? On second thought, we probably don’t want to know the answer to that one.
You also have to love guys’ propensity to hang athletic nicknames on themselves no matter how mundane the competition may be. In a related note, Jimbo “Impromptu Hiccups” Sneidelbaum finished last in this year’s Spitting Championship.

Wait, is this from the south? It’s gotta be from the south.
