Washington State Dems Run Racist Ads
You’d think a group of politicians would know something about being politically correct. But when they don’t, this is the site they end up on. The Seattle Times reports that the Washington State Democratic party has been running a video about Republican gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi that tries to tie him to organized crime.
It gets better. The ads feature the theme song from the TV show The Sopranos. Gee Washington Democrats, prejudiced against Italian Americans much? Party spokesman Kelly Steele said the ads, which question Rossi’s ties to the Building Industry Association of Washington, imply no connection to organized crime. Wait a sec, I watched all The Sopranos episodes and if my memory serves Tony Soprano was a mobster. At least that’s the impression I got.
It amazes me how insensitive people who make their living checking polls can be. Way to go, Washington State Democrats, you really live up to the party symbol.
