Bigfoot Hoaxer Fired from Police Force

As the saga of the two Georgia men who claimed to find Bigfoot continues, it turns out that one of the men involved is a police officer. Er, was a police officer.

Matt Whitton was fired from Clayton County Police. The police chief didn’t find all that lying very funny. It ruined Whitton’s credibility. Especially since it seems the hoaxers were in it for the money.

In fact, the Sasquatch Detective site is instigating action against the two men. The site paid the men an undisclosed amount of money so they could see the supposed Bigfoot carcass.

Amazingly, the men claim they didn’t think this story would take off like it did, getting “out of hand.” Rick Dyer, the other hoaxer, thought that everyone would know it was a joke since they “told 10 different stories.” If everyone knew they were lying, then why did they accept money?

We think some fraud filings will probably crop up soon against the two men.

Can you cry wolf? SHAM SHAM on them. People like this should be made an EXAMPLE of!!! They knew exactly what they were doing. Im sick of hearing that they thought that everyone knew they were lying. One would beleive that a POLICE officer would be credible, but I guess you have to be a CROOK and a LYER to began with to be a police officer not to metion a car salesman like his buddy is. I wonder if he was fired from his job? He should be. You see, I am a car salesman now going on 24 years and its hard enough to gain respect and credablity with the public and keep it without a BAFOON like Rick Dyer’s help. What they hane done is TARNISH the image of ALL police officers and it sure did’nt help us car reps either. Its time for people of this nature BE MADE AN EXAMPLE OF PUBLICLY as they tried to make fools out of alot of good people publicly. This would put a stop to alot of this kind of deciet. I live in Alabama and I’m ashamed for other people in the U.S. to know that I live so close to EDIOTS such as Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer. Dont you know that their MOMMA and DADDY are proud of them for turning out to be fine upstanding men doing credit to their family names as con artist, lyers, theives, and anything else you can amagin. DONT LET THEM GET BY WITH THIS!!!!!! They must made an EXAMPLE OF, because if people let them do this and get away with it then you give people like this the eternal right to do this over and over again untill no ones credability is’nt worth SPIT.

It was a really dumb hoax. They should have known better. Of course, we’re surprised that anyone would be taken in, but that doesn’t excuse them from possible fraud.
