McCain Has No Idea How Many Homes He Owns
I hope I am someday rich enough that when somebody asks me how many homes I own, I have absolutely no idea. Such is the wealth the fates have showered on Republican presidential hopeful John McCain.
Asked by Politico Wednesday how many houses he had, McCain said a member of his staff would have to get back to them on that. Because he didn’t know. A Newsweek article put the number of homes the McCains have at seven and Politico said their investigation yielded eight homes records say belong to the couple. McCain’s staff said the number is “at least four.” Really, it must be nice to be so rich you can’t definitively say how rich you are.
The stereotype about Republicans is that they’re old, wealthy and out-of-touch. Having a 71-year-old millionaire uncertain of how many houses he owns will do little to change that. Barack Obama was all over this like John Edwards on a campaign staffer. In the interest of fairness, Barack’s had his “out of touch” moments in this campaign too. The most notable one would be his regrettable quote about folks clinging to “guns and religion” because of bad economic prospects.
McCain’s campaign fired back reminding voters Obama made $4 million last year and about the guns and religion fiasco. Long story short: If either of these millionaires tell you they understand what the average person is going through in this recession, they’re blowing smoke up your vote.

Actually, he doesn’t own any homes. His multi-millionaire wife and her trusts own them….
adam is right… On top of that, he doesn’t know which are homes, which are lived in by his wife’s family and which are investment properties ON PURPOSE.. to avoid the apperance of impropriety the same way he does not know of his wife’s other investments… How about Hussein Obama’s place… with the 1000 bottle WINE CELLAR?! that he couldn’t afford himself… meanwhile his brother’s living on $1 a month in kenya and hussein obama’s making millions a year….
It’s certain neither of them are poor. We saw the same thing last election. The Clintons were/are filthy rich too. I’m disturbed by the trend that you may now have to be a millionaire to be the president.
