Nicole Kidman named as most overpaid celebrity
Poor Nicole Kidman. She was just named by Forbes magazine as the most overpaid celebrity in Hollywood. It was based on the amount her movies earn in relation to how much she gets paid.
The magazine estimated that her films earn only $1 for every dollar she earns. Ouch. That’s down from $8 for every dollar just a year ago.
Well, not every film is a winner, and a lot of celebrities are allowed a dog or two.
Jennifer Garner was listed second – her films earn $3.60 for every dollar. And Kidman’s ex-husband, Tom Cruise, was third on the list at $4 for every dollar he earns.
Forbes took the actors’ last three movies and dividing the film’s earnings by the amount the actors were paid. Nicholas Cage and Will Farrell also made the top ten. Kidman was in second place last year after fellow Aussie Russell Crowe.
