Who Wants to Buy A Model’s Virginity?

For Sale sign According to gossip site Blatherskite, 20-year-old showgirl and men’s magazine model Raffella Fico is willing to sell her virginity for 1 million euros, or $1.8 million.  She told an Italian magazine she “can’t wait to see who’s going to pull out the money to have me.”

Did she have to say “pull out?”

This looks a lot like a brazen publicity stunt by Fico, who appeared in the Italian version of Big Brother earlier this year. She told fashion mag Chi would use the cash to buy a house in Rome and pay for acting classes. She also said if the man who bought her virginity was ugly then she would quickly have a glass of wine and get over it. Why does her casual attitude toward selling her body suddenly make me suspicious of her virgin claim? And can somebody tell me what the legal difference between this and prostitution would be, if there is one?

Her brother insists that she’s never had a boyfriend and is a devout Catholic. Um, how do you even deliver that quote with a straight face? I am no Catholic scholar, but I’m thinking the church frowns on the wholesale auctioning of one’s virginity. They could have at least said “Catholic that shows up for church at Christmas and Easter,” or once spent five minutes in a confessional.” We might have believed one of those stories.

Who would put out $ for that. Srsly.

And you’re right – what does make this anything other than prostitution? That girl is a bit dumb.
