Groom cancels wedding by setting fire to hotel
A lot of people get cold feet when it’s time to say “I do.” We’ve all heard of it. And most brides and grooms either get over it or they cancel the wedding. Or maybe just don’t show. Or run off with someone else.
But I think this is the first time we’ve heard of someone setting fire to the hotel to avoid a wedding ceremony.
A Japanese man set a hotel on fire over the weekend in order to avoid his nuptials later in the day. Oh and here’s the kicker: he was already married.
So let’s get this straight. You’re married. You meet another woman and go through a courtship for however long and then plan to get married. Um, how about saying something, oh I don’t know, before the wedding planning starts? Better yet, how about before you start dating?
This man had ample opportunity to stop the wedding. Before plans were made. Before all the deposits, money spent, people invited, hotel reservations made.
People were evacuated from the hotel, but no one was injured. Thankfully. Dude needs to own up instead of putting others in danger. Yeah, he might just qualify for a Simply Dumb Asshat Award:

Wow, this is like something that would happen on a soap opera. Unreal.
I just can’t believe that he was already married and let it get that far. Talk about avoiding confrontation.
