Soccer player dies during swim in croc infested waters
A soccer player from Zimbabwe has reportedly disappeared after a team swim in the Zambezi River. He is thought to have drowned.
The river has a strong current and swimming is prohibited in the area where the team took a dip. Did we mention that the waters are infested with crocodiles and hippos?
Yeah, he drowned. Okay. This is sad for his family, and we offer our condolences. But would anyone believe that it was just a drowning?
The team was told to get in the river to cleanse themselves of bad spirits. And after the swim, players noticed that one team member was missing.
A team member was missing after a swim in waters known for crocs and hippos (which are actually some of the most dangerous animals in Africa – they are very territorial). It’s possible he drowned. With help.
So sad. And preventable.
