Everyone thought they were so clever unlocking the iPhone. Apple is turning the tables and threatening to make them unusable in the next software update. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts. ;-)
An Apple software update is disabling iPhones that have been unlocked by owners who wanted to choose which mobile network to use.
Earlier this week […]

This is sort of good news for some people who rushed out to buy new computers with the Vista operating system and discovered, surprise surprise, that it is a dysfunctional piece of sh*t OS that almost makes the old Windows ME look good. I know, I’m one of them.
Unfortunately, the downgrade package is only […]

Yet another development in the Mattel Toy Recall scandal: the company has admitted that many of the products recalled in the most recent announccement were actually not withdrawn due to dangerous errors by the Chinese manufacturers…
Rather, design flaws were to blame.
While Mattel has not admitted exactly what these "design flaws" were, it does seem that […]

And the poisonous products just keep on rolling. Parents, you may want to start checking your kids toys to find ones NOT made in China. Then again, do these things even exist?
I can’t remember a single childhood toy I had that was NOT made in China, that is with the exception of handmade wooden toys… […]

Cell phone companies put a lot of time, energy, and money into locking their phones so they can only be used with their particular company. The new (absurdly overhyped and expensive) iPhone is no exception… until now.
Apparently a 17-year-old has cracked the code and posted instructions on his blog so you can do the same. […]

Yes, believe it folks, even more recalls on toy products manufactured in China. At this point, there is very little in the way of commentary I could provide that could make this seem any more crazy than it already is. Read all about it and maybe this will finally be the last we […]

For those of you who use Skype, you may have noticed that the service is still down! The "free" internet phone provider has been having problems for at least a week now, and while they say the issues should be resolved today, they are not.
Seems like a pretty sure way to lose customers to […]

This overly generous ATM is causing trouble for a lot of people in Mansfield, Louisiana. I guess it’s never as simple as the Monopoly Chance card: "Bank Error in Your Favor," etc. The bank is actually demanding that those who benefitted from this malfunction pay back the extra cash.
An ATM at a northwest Louisiana […]

As more and more crap comes out of China, it appears that attempts at quality control get more and more, um, violent. First the top bureaucrat in charge of quality control was executed by the Chinese government, now the CEO of the toy company which exported lead-tainted toys has "commited suicide".
Far be it from me […]

I guess executing the head of China’s product quality control department didn’t stop the flow of faulty products from the next great superpower after all. Even after the last lead-paint scare of poisonous Thomas the Tank Engine toys, it appears that at least 83 other toy products managed to enter the US market.
This is such […]
