Sometimes celebrities make this too easy. Matt Dillon, who of course lists the hit movie Crash among his credits, got arrested Tuesday for driving at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.
MSNBC reports on Dillon’s speeding jaunt and subsequent arrest on a Vermont highway. They mention Crash and a more recent role in You, Me and Dupree. That is arguably more embarrassing than the speeding arrest, Matt. He just narrowly missed being the first celebrity arrest of the New Year. Last week, Simply Dumb Sports reported on the ridiculousness of Chad Johnson’s legal name change to his nickname Ocho Cinco. Well, legally he can call himself anything he wants (you don’t want to know what some NFL fans are calling him) but if he wants to change his game jersey he’s got to pay.

Tommy Lee Jones, who has played everyone from Loretta Lynn’s husband in Coal Miner’s Daughter to a secret agent in MIB to a sheriff in No Country for Old Men, is suing Paramount Pictures for more than $10 million. He says he is owed the money for his work in No Country.
Jones claims that he originally received a reduced fee for the movie, but was promised more money depending on how well the movie did. The movie won four Oscars and raked in over $160 million.

Times must be really bad for the celebrity sex tape industry. Back in the day, celebs like Pam Anderson were all the rage. The most talked about sex tape these days involves 2-foot-8 Austin Powers series star Verne Troyer.
E News Online tells us Troyer is having problems copyrighting his sex tape with former girlfriend Ranae Shrider. Remember how Sharon Stone insulted Chinese earthquake victims? Well, now more than 1,000 victims and a New York lawyer want $1 billion from the actress. Or possibly an apology. Stone was actually served with papers by an attorney who plans to sue her for her words against the Chinese people.
Stone took the country to task for its occupation of Tibet, suggesting that maybe the earthquake was karma. Tell that to the thousands of families who lost children and other loved ones in the quake. Kevin Federline is getting child support from Britney Spears. To the tune of $20,000 per month. And that’s a $5,000/month bump from last year.
Is it just me or is that a crazy amount of child support? Oh sure, Spears probably has a lot of money from when, you know, she actually sang and gave concerts. We’re not saying she shouldn’t be paying that to support her children. Maybe she should.
