I know she’s only 15, but how does anyone of any age pose for Vanity Fair and not think they’ll run the raciest, most controversial picture of the entire shoot? That’s what they do. The average Playboy cover shows less skin than Vanity Fair typically does.

They are famous for naked celebrity pics. Demi Moore naked and pregnant. Lindsay Lohan naked and blonde. It’s a little ridiculous for Miley to act like she’s surprised by them now. Miley, you were present when they shot these photos, right?

Rumor now has it that Disney is already grooming Selena Gomez to replace Cyrus as the new “Teen Queen” for its empire. If only Walt Disney were here. He’d have signed her to one of those Annette Funicello “one-piece bathing suit for all eternity” contracts.

If she didn’t know about entertainment industry exploitation yet, surely daddy Billy Ray who as a country singer made a great sex symbol should have been able to warn her.

According to the Disney book group, Miley Cyrus is going to write a memoir. She’s all of 15. She mostly seems like a nice kid, but what in the world would she have to say in a book?

She plans to talk bout her roots in the South and her rise to stardom as Hannah Montana. Cyrus also wants to emphasize her relationship with her family – how important it is to her.

Methinks Disney is doing its typical thing and marketing the heck out of its teenage star, taking advantage of her incredible popularity with young girls. And I suppose her story could be an inspiration to young girls, especially if she’s a positive role model. I have to admit that seeing her conduct is a lot better than Paris, Britney, Lindsay, and Nicole.

Still, I think that 15 is a little young for a memoir. I mean, c’mon, it’s not like she’s Anne Frank or anything. While I’m not interested, I’m sure there will be a lot of pre-teens who will.
