Hacking VP candidate email is a no-no

David Kernell of Tennessee found out the hard way that getting into someone else’s email account is considered hacking. He has been indicted for accessing Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s personal Yahoo! email account.
Not only did he change her password by answering a few personal questions, he posted the info on a message board. Things including the account’s new password, family member cell phone numbers, and family email addresses.
Dude. NOT cool.
By the way, Kernell is is the son of a Democratic state legislator. Makes it even more amusing. But still not cool.
One of Palin’s spokespeople mentioned they are sure …read more

Language barrier causes misunderstanding – all for an ‘h’

France’s Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner had a bit of a language problem when an Israeli newspaper misquoted him. It seems that a dropped ‘h’ caused a misunderstanding.
The Haaretz newspaper quoted Kouchner as saying “I honestly don’t belive that it will give any immunity to Iran…because you will eat them before.” He was talking about Tehran gaining a nuclear weapon.

Site funnyordie.com sponsored Hilton’s ad jabbing McCain for using her likeness in his ad bashing Barack Obama.
One of McCain’s people was quoted as saying, “It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain’s ‘all of the above’ approach to America’s energy crisis — including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as …read more

Dead Mayor Wins Election

Dead Mayor Wins Election

In a Romanian village, a dead mayor is better than a live one. At least, it is according to voters.
The mayor ran the village for almost two decades. He died just after voting started. Guess what? He still won by 23 votes. Officials had decided to keep the election open in case the opponent won. He didn’t, but authorities gave him the position anyway.
A political party is calling for a new election.
This reminds me of something that happened in my home state of Missouri. The governor died and voters elected his wife into office instead. Voters are strange.
