Sometimes school administrators just border on the ridiculous. This is one of those times.
A Florida student was arrested for some minor infractions. School authorities said he was passing gas and turning off other students’ computers.
Okay, so he was disruptive. And probably irritating. And smelly. Instead of giving him detention or sending him to the principal’s office, he was arrested by a school resource officer.
Unbelievable. Between this and students being charged with sexual harassment before they’re even old enough to know what it is, it’s no wonder people choose to home school.

A man in Michigan was arrested for receiving sexual favors from a car wash vacuum hose. You know, the kind you pop a quarter in so you can clean your rugs? Yeah, one of those.
Think you’ll ever use one again? Yeah, us neither.
The 29-year-old man was arrested after someone called reporting suspicious activity at the car wash. So an officer went in on foot and caught him, um, in the act.

I may never eat food prepared on the grill again after this story. May none of us ever get so desperate that we do something so creepy and, well, wrong.
A family in Northern California decided to cremate their elderly mom after she died. Hey, lots of people get cremated, right? Yup. Except this was a do-it-yourself cremation. They wanted to keep collecting her retirement checks – to the tune of $25,000 – and disposed of her body on a makeshift barbecue.

David Blaine is an illusionist notorious for his crazy stunts. He has stayed underwater for a week, stood on a 90-foot pillar for 35 hours, spent 61 hours inside a block of ice, and put himself in a box above the Thames for 44 hours. In other words, he does some weird things.

From the stupid people tricks archive comes this gem. Cheerleaders sometimes get a bad rap. But stories like this probably don’t help. You’ll see why.
Twenty-six teen cheerleaders decided it was a good idea to try and cram into a University of Texas elevator. Of course, they wanted to see how many of them could fit. The 14-17 year-old cheerleaders were at a cheer camp when they got the brilliant idea to stuff into the elevator. And the elevator was located in Jester Residence Hall. Anyone else snorting here?

You could spend several minutes, even an hour just watching people do stupid things on Segways. But for you, our loyal readers, we just had to provide what was one of the most spectacular face plants we’ve seen on a Segway. Ouch.

New South Wales has banned laster pointers. Now why would a major Australian state go and do something like that? Because some dummies have decided that it’s fun to shine the high-intensity lasers into cockpits. The temporarily blinded pilots don’t think it’s nearly as funny though. And neither does the government, which has assigned a jail term of up to 14 years for anyone caught carrying them without a permit.
Several pilots recently reported instances of high-powered lasers being shown into the cockpit during landings and take-offs. Just a moment of blindness could cause serious consequences. So serious, in fact, that …read more
